PINOGEN Co.,Ltd won the top prize, the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Award, for "Development of High Value-Added Cosmetics and Food Materials Using Pine Trees" at the 4th Forest Fair sponsored by the Korea Forest Service.
PINOGEN is a company that manufactures cosmetics and food materials with high antioxidant and antibacterial effects by utilizing by-products generated in the process of managing forests.
Recently, an upcycling brand pinesoo containing high purity clean pine leaf extract was released from Geumgangsong native to Sobaeksan Mountain in Korea.
This competition was conducted by the Korea Forest Service with the aim of establishing an ecosystem in the excellent forest sector, and the review was selected through presentation evaluation by related experts and citizen evaluation teams.
Mrs. Berry, CEO of PINOGEN, who participated in the presentation and awards ceremony, said, "I've seen my father use pine trees in various ways since childhood, growing up in the region. We established an agricultural company corporation to grow our proven native pine trees, which have been eaten and applied for thousands of years, into a global standard.
I'm glad that this Ministerial Award was an achievement of constantly challenging the forest environment and even the animals and plants, as well as beneficial projects by using pine trees," he said.
